How important is an architectural visualization? What should be the balance between realism and artistic interpretation in the architectural rendering? Realistic visualization allows architects to see their project before it is implemented. But how useful is such idealized look for them? Can the render, filled with a happy life, help developers to sell people square meters of housing and can the "beautiful" picture smooth out the resonance around a socially significant project?

Is there a line between conscious manipulation and a sincere reflection of the best sides of a project? And could visualization become a binding document in urban planning agreement?

Sergey Ferley is an architect, the geography of Sergey's work experience varies from Kyiv in the architectural bureau ZOTOV&CO and BURØ to Sydney in the studio of architectural visualization Doug and Wolf.
