A few weeks back Copenhagen Architecture Festival launched an open call for essays reflecting on the impact of the corona-crisis on the built environment. In this talk we will hear about the motivation behind the call, become acquainted with the mission and organisation of the festival, and hear about the dominant trends expressed in the incoming calls. The talk will end with the a q&a, and it will be held by Pernille Maria Bärnheim, who has been organising the open call.
Pernille Maria Bärnheim is an urban sociologist and cultural producer. She has conducted research on low-income housing in Mexico, curated various cultural events, and worked in the editorial department on numerous documentary and fiction film projects. She has an MA in Critical Urban Studies from Goldsmiths University, and a certificate in Criticism, Communication, Curation: Arts & Design from Central Saint Martin's College. She currently holds the position of project manager with Copenhagen Architecture Festival.
