The indeterminacy is in the spotlight once again. In the 1960s, Aldo Rossi spoke about the expanded time of the city and its typologies as specific spaces open for new interpretations, while groups as TEAM10 and Archizoom were experimenting urban flexibility with radical scenarios of the future. However, over the last decades, architecture has been increasingly shaped by city regulations and technical codes. Despite this standardization, architecture is still one of the last forms of knowledge which operates in the longue durée and within this condition indeterminacy can be read as a strategic quality. AGENCIA
is a young architecture practice from Rio de Janeiro founded in 2017 by Thiago de Almeida and Priscila Bellas. AGENCIA is interested in the idea of precision in architecture. Among interiors, buildings, and urban design, our projects seek to explore notions of how much needs to be done to produce generous and meaningful spaces where life can take place spontaneously. Thiago and Priscila are architects graduated from FAU-UFRJ-Brazil and ENSA-Versailles-France. Before founding AGENCIA they worked with NP2F in Paris, BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group in Copenhagen, and OMA-Rem Koolhaas in Rotterdam.
