How to make everyone heard and reach a common decision where a variety of options exist?
What mechanisms, apart from public hearings, exist for receiving feedback of territorial community on the concept of spatial development?
How to reveal public opinion at an early stage of a planning project and integrate it into spatial development concept?

Since November 2018 CANactions School has been collaborating with 30 amalgamated hromadas from all over Ukraine within the program "Integrated Spatial Planning for Amalgamated Hromadas". The product of the educational process is a spatial development concept of the territory and settlements within the amalgamated hromada produced in collaboration of local government representatives.

The team of CANactions School will share the outcomes of 30 participatory events held in 30 amalgamated hromadas on March 11-13, 2019.

You will get to know:
- About the educational program overall and the key stages which 30 hromadas had been following on the way to creating a spatial development concept;
- About different approaches to organising public participation in relation to the aim and strategic goals of planning, tested in 30 hromadas;
- About particular examples of the process and issues with participatory process;
- About various approaches utilized for raising awareness of general public concerning the event and the essence of spatial development concept.
