CANactions Students' Team in Advanced Integration Urban Development 2017/18
. has developed a new decision-making procedure in housing construction in cities.
The current process was changed by us with new relationships between players (community-municipality-developer) ensuring participation of key stakeholders and implementing the principles of sustainable development in spatial design.
What does the new process change?
Creation and support of informal tools of urban planning that allow taking into account the interests of stakeholders;
Using urban data as a real policy and management tool;
Ability to build affordable housing and expand the range of investments: the city, "small" investor, "big" investor, cooperatives;
Introduction of the principles of sustainable development and grounded decision-making as criteria for the quality of DPT
The team wants to challenge the decision-making process in housing construction, emphasize the need for change in this process and offer an alternative.
